"The TJL La Marr Fan": A Smart Ceiling Fan That Responds to Remote User

Fort Worth, TX, April 5, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Typically one thinks of a ceiling fan as helping provide air circulation when the room is overly warm but many people use a ceiling fan in all types of weather. This new fan is a smart fan and responds to the user with a unique remote control.  The TJL La Marr Fan is a specially designed ceiling fan unit that works in conjunction with a thermostat Heating Ventilation/Air Conditioner (HVAC), and with a corresponding remote control device. The design intent is to provide consumers with a cost-saving, combination ceiling fan/heating/cooling device, that offers a simple and effective means of adjusting the temperature of the air, without having to get up or leave the comforts of their seat or bed.

The ceiling fan is configured to be installed in a room’s light fixture with a ceiling mount, a series of fan blade panels, fan directional switch, a light, and two (2) pull cords that operate the fan and the light, respectively. Features offered by this unit include a temperature control thermostat with several settings, oscillating heat coils, air filter and a dual safety system. Located on the front panel of the appliance, an electronic receiver circuit, along with a tuned frequency is encased within the sturdy housing of the facade. The transmitter is an oval independent remote device with the front panel having several color-coded buttons for operation: blue for cold, red for heat, yellow for light, and green for fan. In addition to an On/Off power button the remote has a speed control button for the unit's four speeds and a temperature control that facilitates adjustment from a minimum of 30 degrees to a maximum of 90 degrees. The remote control is powered by a rechargeable battery.  The TJL La Marr Fan is enhanced by incorporating a smoke detector located above the air filter in the fan's motor housing. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the TJL La Marr Fan.
