Hanoi, Vietnam, March 31, 2016 (Newswire.com) - On February 2016, the world’s longest three-rope cable car system was inaugurated to connect Muong Hoa Valley with Fansipan Mountain. The Guinness World Records also named it as the three-rope cable car system with the world’s biggest height gap between its departure and arrival stations (1,410 metres). The dream of conquering the roof of Indochina will come true more easily with the view of the sea cloud and golden rice terraces fields, especially in September. Today Sapa is the tourism centre of the northwest.
Sapa boasts the stunning landscape scenery, worldwide famous magnificent terrace fields in the Muong Hoa valley and Mount Fansipan. Nature gifted landscape and ideal climate and locals here with skillful hands weaved masterpiece - that is the stair leading up into the sky. In the morning, you can enjoy a gentle Sapa whereas experience romantic and melancholy sunset. Sapa is voted to be the best trekking spot in Vietnam where hikers launch themselves into a surrounding countryside of cascading rice terraces and tiny hill-tribe villages that seems a world apart.
Sapa is home to a great diversity of ethnic people including five main groups of Hmong, Yao, Tay, Zay and Xa Pho. Ethnic minority people gather at Sapa town, trade or sell their farming products such as rice, corn, fruits, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs to tourists. Hill tribe markets are still a hive of colourful activity with fresh produce, a butcher's section and the busiest day is Saturday. It is a wonderful experience to homestay in one of local family houses, enjoy the local food cooked by owner, wake up in the village far from the center of town.
