The Zombie Rapture: Book One

The Zombie Rapture (first part in a trilogy) depicts the struggle survivors face after the first wave of zombies wash over the United States of America, and millions of people subsequently dissapear.

"The Zombie Rapture" by Julian Coppola-Zahavi follows the lives of several survivors of the zombie apocalypse. The spread of a deadly virus has turned millions of the population into flesh hungry fiends. On top of all of this, the Christian rapture has started to occur in waves. In a world plagued by violence and mayhem, Bayne, Sheila, and Edna attempt to escape throngs of the terrifying undead so that they might rebuild a better society. This is not just a zombie book filled with cautionary tales, but also a testament to the value of following your dreams, even when the world is going to hell all around you.

Bayne has never missed any metaphor relating to the undead, but he is shocked and horrified after the infection spreads into his community. After his father manages to trade their house for transport to a safe zone, Bayne finds himself stranded in the middle of zombie territory all alone, without weapons, food, or shelter, fighting against all odds to survive.

Edna lives at Sunny Skies Nursing Facility. When zombies come barreling inside through the open cafeteria loading dock, she must think fast in order to save herself and her paralzyed husband, Leon.

Sheila is an eight year-old violin prodigy preparing for her first concert in New York City when all hell breaks loose.

The Zombie Rapture is filled with action and adventure, but also contains relevant social commentary.
