Their goals and expectations may vary, but one thing BIMTECH's incoming class of 2012-2014 seems to agree on is that the welcoming orientation week was fantastic.

"Awesome" and "mind-boggling" were some of the words Amit Arora used to describe the week. Amit, who hopes BIMTECH will help him grow into "a confident manager" with "an awesome job", said that the dilemma he faced was whether he could adjust to the north Indian environment - but so far, it has not been a problem.

Charu Sharma found the introduction to BIMTECH "impressive" and "inspiring" and the faculty "motivating." Charu's expects to gain practical and theoretical knowledge about management and "enjoy each and every moment" at BIMTECH.

"I've loved the first week I've spent here," said Siddharth Rajan, who arrived from Chennai and is a long way from home.

"Honestly speaking, I don't think I'm ever going to feel home-sick, thanks to the extremely friendly faculty and staff, not to mention the friends I've made."

Siddharth found orientation week to be "nothing less than well organised and professional", noting that never before had he "come across an organisation that would plan a prayer song for each religion."

"I'm sure BIMTECH will continue to display professionalism and class as it has during the first week."

Mohit Bhola came to BIMTECH seeking a "new beginning in life, full of enthusiasm" and found the orientation week "quite impressive" with the banners welcoming the newcomers, a good interaction with classmates and "really motivating" guest lectures.

Planning to do a PGDM in operations, Mohit is hoping to get a good placement in the automotive field; looking forward to meeting seniors in the operation sector; hoping that trips will be organised for students and that holidays can be arranged so students can visit home.

Sakshi Kukrja said that all the apprehensions she had before arriving at BIMTECH have been put to rest the following orientation week which she termed "brilliant."

The week was filled with insights about what was going on in industry, not just in India but around the globe.

"The sessions were interactive as well as fun-filled. The professors were friendly and answered any questions after each session with utmost patience. I am looking forward to a brilliant experience here at BIMTECH for the next two years," said Sakshi.

Sakshi said she is "looking forward to being a part of a lot of activities and fun" along with gaining a lot of knowledge.

Sakshi and the others won't be disappointed in their expectations for an exciting student life at BIMTECH.

Cultural activities abound thanks to the Cultural Conduit Club and its links with the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth.

Team Vihaan also hosts competitions, testing not only business acumen, but literary skills and cultural performances.

Then there are: Majlis, the debating society of BIMTECH; Quiz Crazy BIMTECHIANS (QCB) whose objective is to promote quizzing culture at BIMTECH, to spread business awareness at the campus and to keep the whole student community aware of happenings in the world of business; Propellers, the human resources club which carries out various HR related activities; the Entrepreneur Cell (E-Cell), a result of the collaborative efforts of BIMTECH and the National Entrepreneur Network (NEN), it strives to create entrepreneurs and future business leaders. There are also Insurance Movers and Shakers (INMOS) which routinely organises various activities like quizzes, group discussions and related activities to give a comprehensive edge to insurance students and Club Ex Liber which aims to cultivate creative literary activities among students.
