There Are No Good Men Left' among Top 10 Lies Single Black Women Believe

Jennifer Keitt, Nationally Syndicated Host of 'Today's Black Woman Radio Show' to Tackle Top Topics that Leave Singles Disillusioned and Discouraged During National Singles Week

ATLANTA, Ga. - Starting on September 20 in conjunction with Unmarried and Single Americans Week, "Today's Black Woman Radio Show" will tackle the top lies Black women believe and the reasons why they shouldn't believe them. Among the most common lies include, "There are no good men left," a widespread misconception that regularly attracts media attention and threatens the livelihood of single women.

"When single Black women begin to believe that there are no good men left, they close themselves off to the possibility of engaging in healthy relationships," said Jennifer Keitt, nationally syndicated host, speaker and author of "The Power of Being a Real Woman." "During our series, we'll address this and other falsehoods that are holding single women hostage emotionally, and help them find freedom through identifying and owning personal and practical truths."

Each day of the weeklong series, Keitt will reveal: the top lies single and married Black women believe; how and why these lies are told; and how to combat them in order to live healthier, happier and more productive lives. Other lies to be explored "The 10 Lies We Believe" series include:

 Money will solve all of my problems.
 Mistakes and failure are permanent.
 I can't effectively parent because of my past.
 I have to wait to start living my dream.

"Often we lie to ourselves to help us cope with personal failures or to feel content with our current situations when we feel we can't move past the obstacles and barriers to our best lives," said Keitt. "But by no means is this a sound coping mechanism. When we believe these lies, we're not coping at all - we're resigning from living healthy, happy lives."

For nearly 20 years, Jennifer Keitt has provided Black women with the tools and resources they need to improve and enhance their lives in the areas of spiritual growth, emotional well-being, health and beauty, sexuality, financial empowerment, relationships and career. Recognized as a powerhouse motivator, Keitt uses the "Today's Black Woman Radio Show" format to help listeners move beyond self-imposed limitations, realize their power and exceed their potential.
