To mark this week’s USA Pickleball (USAP) National Championships in Dallas, Texas, Nov. 5-12, 2023, theTUNDRA Enthusiast News Network (thetundra.com) is launching its #PickleballProSYNCH YouTube Shorts series showcasing synchronized iconic moments in professional sports with emerging professional and amateur pickleball players defining the fastest-growing sport in America today.

#PickleballProSYNCH, which begins streaming Tuesday, Nov. 7, on YouTube, spotlights the timeless, universal spirit of the sports enthusiast, whose dedication to sports, as a player and/or fan-spectator, knows no bounds regardless of time, geography, and/or (sports) genre. #PickleballProSYNCH is a playful, historical, and cultural YouTube Shorts series comparing the rapidly evolving athleticism of professional and amateur pickleball to other professional sports from the NBA, NFL and MLB to the NHL, pro tennis and the Olympics. To jumpstart the series, the first #PickleballProSYNCH takes a backward glance at USAP National Championships from 2012 through 2023, highlighting USAP’s annual tournaments side by side with signature moments from the Superbowl, World Series, Stanley Cup and Wimbledon during those years — all within 60 seconds. theTUNDRA's first launch will also include MLP favorite Anna Leigh Waters and World Champions Ben Johns and Kyle Yates.

“As an enthusiast news network covering multiple verticals, theTUNDRA has never witnessed an enthusiast category that has captured mass engagement at the speed and intensity of pickleball,” said Marion Riedle, founder and publisher of theTUNDRA. “Consumers are gravitating toward pickleball for its open-play format connecting participants authentically in a socially friendly and physically dynamic environment where everyone, regardless of skill set, is immediately welcomed — we’re incredibly excited about the expansive, innovative editorial opportunities to not only cover pickleball, but also to explore the interconnection between pickleball and categories of interest that cross-pollinate with it.”

With origins that began in 1984 as the United States Amateur Pickleball Association, the nonprofit USAP is the sport’s foremost advocate for growing pickleball nationally as well as serving as the sport’s National Governing Body with official oversight responsibility for rules, tournament sanctioning and rankings throughout the U.S. In January 2023, the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) estimated 36.5 million Americans played pickleball from August 2021 to August 2022 (up from an estimated five million Americans playing in 2021).
