Third Annual ValWalk Expands, Adds Breakfast
White Plains, New York, April 15, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Hundreds of walkers and runners will gather in the parking lot of Shiloh Baptist Church in Tuckahoe, for the 3rd straight year to walk in memory of lifetime Tuckahoe resident Valerie Murray and to support those who have been affected in any way by Cancer.
“This year, our goal is to begin attracting participants from all over,” said Larry Woodard, a Deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church and publicity chairman. “We started out celebrating the life of Valerie Murray but we realize Cancer has affected just about everyone”

The walk will begin at 8 am in the parking lot of Shiloh Baptist Church located at 15 Marble Place in Tuckahoe, New York and wind its way down through the Village and back to the church. There will be a breakfast served at the church after the race for $15. There will also be T-Shirts for sale. All are welcome and there is plenty of on and off- street parking.
The ValWalk was started 3 years ago by the Women’s Ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church one of the organizations in which Valerie Murray was an active participant.
A portion of the proceeds will go to a non-profit Cancer organization such as the American Cancer Society (a past donation recipient).
