Three Minutes And It's Over
Online, January 5, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The viewing habits of those that watch programmes online in many ways reflects the fast paced world in which we live and a three minutes weekly soap is perhaps the start of a trend we can expect many other programmes to follow.
The made for internet soap drama, Today and Tomorrow, produced by 2b Acting Production was ITV Local Yorkshire's first internet soap to be shown on their website in 2008 and is now available on DVD from the Amazon.com online store.
New episodes of the soap will be available for free viewing starting 1st February 2011, broadcasted across the major media online websites such as Youtube, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Bebo, etc and on 2b Acting's own website.
The shows writer/director David Jones is pleased to have the Internet as a broadcast platform and believes that the short three minutes style delivery will be attractive to internet viewers and establish the soap as a popular soap in the same way that dramas such as East Enders and Coronation Street has done on Television.
"Writing this soap drama to reflect the viewing habits of the online generation has been a challenge and I am really looking forward to viewers' feedback", said David Jones.
Is three minutes a week enough? Well, for those with more time the production company will be making the more traditional length episodes available on their website.
