Jay Austin Collection Bow Ties presents a stylish way to give back while standing out with Tie One On for the Record, a world record-setting attempt and charity event to benefit the Nicholas House.

On May 23, 2013, attendees will gather at the private City Club of Buckhead to knot 200+ bowties in three minutes-a Guinness World Record-while raising funds and awareness for the Nicholas House, an organization dedicated to preventing family homelessness.

To raise the bow tie bar, organizers are aiming for many more than the 200 participants required to set the world record. The event is open to ladies and gentlemen who are fit to be tied - or tie - for a good cause.

Honored guests at Tie One on or the Record include Roswell Mayor Jere Wood, Bowtie Ambassador, and Garrett Gravesen, noted speaker, entrepreneur and Junior Chamber International "Ten Outstanding Young People of the World" winner, who will serve as our M.C.

"Having been touched by homelessness in my own life, I was inspired to host this event," said Jay Austin, the Bow Tie King of Atlanta and founder of Jay Austin Collection Bow Ties, who explained, "I feel it is more important to give a hand up to the homeless and not a hand out."

Guests are requested to wear their most fashionable black and purple attire - Jay Austin Bow Ties will provide the finishing touch: a commemorative Jay Austin Collection bow tie.

Registration is $65 and includes participation in the record attempt at 7:45 p.m. Guests will also enjoy live entertainment by the Justin Band, a complimentary bar and hors d'oeuvres, silent auction and a hand-selected gift bag. Event tickets are on sale now at jayaustinbowties.com. Early registration is required in order to receive the free commemorative bowtie, as quantities are limited.
