TimeWorn Wood to Give Away Dining Room Table to Deserving Minneapolis Family

Atwater, MN , January 12, 2017 (Newswire.com) -  TimeWorn Wood, an Atwater, MN-based restaurant table top manufacturer, will donate a handcrafted wooden dining room table to the Gold family of south Minneapolis. The Gold’s were nominated and selected to receive the table as part of TimeWorn’s Holiday Table Giveaway for exemplifying what it means to share the love of family in even the most challenging circumstances. Members of the press are invited to participate in TimeWorn Wood’s Table Giveaway Event when the table will be delivered to the Gold’s home.

Emily and David Gold currently raise their four children (ranging in age from one to seven years old) in south Minneapolis. Shortly after birth, their five-year-old daughter Lizzie was diagnosed with Pallister-Killian Syndrome; an extremely rare genetic disorder with an estimated 2,000 cases currently in the United States. There is currently no treatment or cure for the life-limiting disease and those affected typically lose their life within the first decade of life. 

Despite the many challenges that come with raising a child living with Pallister-Killian Syndrome, the Gold’s continue to give back to their community and neighbors. The family is actively involved in their church and Emily regularly shares her story with others in similar situations at local children’s health care facilities.

“Dinner is one time each day when all six of us get to be together,” said Emily Gold. “Raising Lizzie has truly made me appreciate the importance of spending time together as a family and I know that this table will be a very special place for us to gather for many years to come.”

TimeWorn Wood began its Holiday Table Giveaway as an effort to provide a place for a family to come together at dinner. Nominations for the Giveaway were accepted on the company’s website from October 1 – November 30 and the Gold’s were selected as winners on December 15^th.
