Tiso Invests £750,000 in New Aberdeen Premises

Online, April 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Graham Tiso Ltd, Scotland's leading outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, has moved on to bigger and better premises. Following thirty years of trading at Netherkirkgate, Tiso opened their new ten thousand square foot store on Friday 1st April. The £ 750,000 redevelopment of the former Beehar Carpets site on the junction of John Street and Loch Street will make Tiso Aberdeen's largest outdoor retail store. The new store will feature a cafe as well as dedicated customer parking facilities.

The doubling in retail space will allow for an expanded range of products across all the outdoor categories including clothing and footwear, camping and travel, climbing and watersports. In particular kids clothing and watersports will see a significant increase together with a new adventure running area, and a dedicated Blues ski concession will open in the Autumn.
Tiso's commitment to the quality and integrity of its service will continue at the new store through its knowledgeable staff who will be on hand to offer their expertise and advice to ensure customers are well informed and prepared for their outdoor activities as possible.

The first Tiso store was opened in 1962 by Graham and Maude Tiso, with their Netherkirkgate store opening in 1981. Their son Chris Tiso, who has been CEO since 1992, comments "The move to new premises on John Street is a fantastic opportunity for Tiso to develop its already extensive offering of outdoor equipment.
