TMS by Design - TMS Academy goes global
TMS Asia-Pacific is now poised to take its TMS Academy concept on a truly global basis following the signing of an agreement to provide training services to international hotel group Design Hotels™.
Online, October 4, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Having successfully established its 'TMS Academy' concept in Australia, China, Singapore and Thailand, TMS Asia Pacific is now poised to take the concept on a truly global basis following the signing of an agreement to provide training services to international hotel group Design Hotels™.
TMS has again partnered with hospitality revenue management solutions supplier IDeaS to offer the programs to Design Hotels™ which represents and markets more than 190 independent hotels in over 40 countries around the world.
This includes Africa, the Americas, the Asia-Pacific, the Americas, the Caribbean and 21 countries in Europe.
The first workshop - a two-day Revenue Management training course - will commence on 21 October in Frankfurt.
TMS CEO Andrew Chan said the decision to collaborate with Design Hotels™ came as a direct result of enquiries from the organisation which is looking to provide its member hotels with comprehensive, qualification-based training programs.
"Revenue management strategies have become an integral part of any successful hotel's competitive strategy as more and more hoteliers recognise the need to implement sustainable revenue management processes in order to remain competitive," he said.
"The intensive two-day revenue management workshops have been purpose-built to provide Design Hotel™ members not only with an understanding of best practice processes but also what it takes to create a winning revenue management culture."
Design Hotels™ founder and CEO, Claus Sendlinger said revenue management has become an integral part of his company's competitive strategy.
"Revenue management offers the ability to optimize and grow gross room revenues and is as such an essential service and an integral part of the support that Design Hotels™ is looking to provide its member hotels," he said.
"These two-day intensive, practical and easy to grasp workshops set out to overview key revenue management principles and their application.
"They are ideal for anyone wanting to gain a deeper understanding, not only of forecasting, pricing and channel management but also how to create a sustainable revenue management culture in their hotels.
"We have already had strong demand for the TMS/IDeaS program from our member properties and are now looking at extending the workshops across Europe and Asia," he said.
TMS officially entered launched into the executive training arena in July 2009 with the launch of its first 'TMS Academy' concept in Singapore.
The company has since gone on to establish similar concepts in Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai and Sydney.
