Today's Top Web Software

Website Magazine's June 2014 issue provides an overview of software that addresses the challenges of modern companies

Spending in the enterprise software market this year is on pace to total $320 billion (nearly a 7 percent increase from 2013), according to a recent forecast from Gartner - indicating software will play a major role and demand a significant portion of all brands' IT budgets.

This week, Website Magazine, the leading print and digital publication for Web success, released its June 2014 issue, which serves as a starting point for improved efficiency, greater revenues and more engaged consumers for digital enterprises through the use of Web-based software. In the feature article of Website Magazine's June 2014 issue, Founding Editor-In-Chief Peter Prestipino provides a broad overview of the solutions that are consistently (or increasingly) top of mind with technologists, developers, marketers and business owners. The software included in the feature addresses the many challenges of the modern Web, shares the features enterprises should demand and the vendors that are leading the way.

"Businesses operating on the Web today are looking for scalable, quick to implement and affordable solutions to help improve operations, increase revenues and better the overall user experience," said Prestipino. "With the vast amount of options, however, decision-making can seem like a near-impossible feat. That's not to say companies aren't taking their most educated guesses about what software implementations to make, but they can do better."

For this reason, software was not only covered in June's feature article, but also throughout the issue, including how to select search engine optimization (SEO) software and a list of 50 of the top software solutions, platforms and resources available to help brands develop bigger local audiences.

According to the authors of Website Magazines Top 50 list, "Local Matters," one of the most significant challenges that businesses have when deciding on location-based offerings is the overlap between channels and how local intersects with everything from search to social.

Solutions included in the list, however, make marketing a brand and its products possible on a local level, including Yelp, ReachLocal, Yodle, SureFire Social and more. Website Magazine's Top 50 list (available at wsm.co/50june14) serves as the perfect introduction for the July 2014 issue, which will focus on how local brands can leverage Google - and its vast offerings - to grow their businesses online.

"The July issue on Google for Local Businesses presents the perfect opportunity for companies looking to get in front of a highly targeted audience of Web professionals," said Website Magazine General Manager David Ruiz. "The readers interested in this feature article will be those who are seeking sound advice on how to be found both with organic and paid search and which software solutions, platforms or tools they should be using to boost their local presence both in-store and online. Companies providing mobile solutions, SEO services, paid search, analytics, e-commerce platforms, general online marketing or even social media offerings would be the perfect fit to advertise in this issue."
