Now at the beginning of its second decade, Design Week magazine's Creative Survey is a highly authoritative assessment of who's who in the UK design world. The list reflects the success of British consultancies and in-house design teams in all the major creative awards - both at home and abroad.

The 2009 Design Week Creative Survey placed WMH (Williams Murray Hamm) in fifth position in its top 50 table for all awards. WMH placed right behind The Partners - which is owned by WPP, the Apple design group, The Chase and Love.

Some of the award-winning projects Williams Murray Hamm is particularly proud of in 2009 include:

Jamie Oliver's Recipease store (brand identity) - gold award at the Cannes Design Lions Awards
Waterbranding (logo/identity) - first place at the Mobius Awards
Beazley (mixed media) - first place at the Mobius Awards
Agency of the Year - Fab Awards

WMH has previously performed well in the Design Week Creative Survey. For example, the agency was named number one for branding in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 by Design Week.

Furthermore, in 2002 Williams Murray Hamm was the only design agency which made it onto the Financial Times Top 50 Creative Businesses league.

WMH has twice been named Design Agency of The Year by Marketing Magazine.

About Williams Murray Hamm

Established in 1997, Williams Murray Hamm set out to offer clients an alternative to the intrusive logos and graphic formulas that had become commonplace in the world of 80s and 90s brand design. It seemed to us that robust ideas were of much greater value to clients than decoration and derivation.

With the help of some fearless clients, WMH has gained an international reputation for creative and commercial success. We have won major awards at D&AD, Design Week, Clio and New York Festivals and been named No 1 for Branding in 2004/05/06/07/08 (Design Week) and No.1 for Design Effectiveness 2003/04/06 by the DBA for work with clients like Clipper Teas, Cobra and Sainsbury's.

This has led to Garrick Hamm being appointed D&AD President for 2008/9 and WMH featuring in The Guardian's 'Top 50 Hottest Names in Design'.
