Toronto Management Recruitment Firm Helps Contestant Of O'Leary TV Show Find A Job

Kevin O'Leary has joined forces with PSG to offer employment opportunity to first runner-up and ex-convict participating in his TV show.)

The future is looking brighter for one ex-convict who was on the job hunt. Permanent Search Group (PSG), a leading Toronto management recruitment firm, teamed up with Kevin O'Leary on the advice of his fellow "Dragon" Jim Treliving to help an exceptional contestant from his new reality TV series, Redemption Inc. find employment in the Toronto area.

With corporate Canada known to shy away from hiring even the most reformed ex-offenders, the management recruitment firm in Toronto dedicated themselves to finding first runner-up Brian Miller a new lease on life.

Aligning with O'Leary, a Canadian venture capitalist most recognized from CBC's Dragon's Den, PSG went out of their reach to help this Redemption Inc. participant start anew with sourcing companies in the GTA who believed in redemption.

Driven by a sense of social commitment and a firm belief in the idea of giving back to the community, PSG hoped to help redefine the way former convicts are viewed in the candidate pool.

With PSG's reputation as a leading management recruiter in Toronto, O'Leary's advisors chose the firm's management headhunters to be career advisors and they were actively involved in the final show which revisited the participant's lives today.

Redemption Inc., created and hosted by Kevin O'Leary, aired on Mondays at 9:00 p.m. on CBC. The show, described as "Dragon's Den meets The Apprentice," put ex-convict participants through a series of business challenges. In the end, O'Leary determined that Alia was the most resourceful, entrepreneurial-minded and worthy of $100K to go towards starting a business venture.

While the reality show's cast was studded with ex-convicts ranging from drug offenders to former thieves, none of the participants had ever been convicted of heinous crimes and all have paid their dues behind bars. With many employers hesitant to hire someone with a criminal record, O'Leary was inspired to offer contestants an "exit package" rather than an Apprentice-style "you're fired."

With years of experience as management recruiters specialized in filling management positions in and around Toronto, PSG helped secure participant Brian Miller the ultimate exit package: a job opportunity, a fresh start and a true chance for redemption
