Total Internship Management Workshop Coming to the Quad-Cities on June 7, 2019

HRCI and SHRM-PDC Accredited Workshop Hosted by Western Illinois University and the Quad-Cities Graduate Study Center

Intern Bridge, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based research and consulting firm will be presenting the Total Internship Management Workshop on June 7, 2019, at Western Illinois University in Moline, Illinois.  This workshop has been designed to serve the needs of companies and organizations seeking to create a structure or increase the ROI and success of their current internship and entry-talent acquisition initiatives.

Considering the statistics from a recent National Association of Colleges and Employers' (NACE) Experiential Education Survey showing that almost 40% of employers’ full-time, entry-level hires came from their internship and apprenticeship programs, companies are recognizing the value of having a structured talent pipeline via interns. Additionally, nearly two-thirds of interns are offered full-time positions after having had an internship with an organization.

We are proud to offer this workshop to advance the goals of Q2030 to recruit and retain top talent, locally and regionally. We are also excited to offer this workshop because data indicates that students who participate in internships and cooperative education have higher retention and graduation rates. Furthermore, these students stay longer in their first job outside of college compared to students who do not participate in these opportunities. This workshop is a win-win for the business community and higher education.
