Toyota Philanthropy 100 Cars For Good Hailed By Germain Toyota Of Columbus, OH

Germain Toyota would like to proudly announce the 100 Cars Ford Good philanthropic project in which Toyota USA will donate one vehicle to a worthy non-profit on each of 100 days.

Chicago's recent Auto Show played host to Toyota Motor Sales USA's announcement that it would once again bring back the popular 100 Cars For Good campaign in which U.S. nonprofits are voted on by the public to receive new 2012 Toyota vehicles as both a reward and encouragement for their terrific ability to make a difference in the community. Winners for the event are selected through public voting on Toyota's Facebook page which can be found at http://www.facebook.com/toyota.

Germain Toyota of Columbus encourages any interested party to vote for their favorite non-profit and help them to continue to help others. Many of the nominated difference makers would otherwise have no other way to procure transportation in order to give back even more. Over the next 100 days, 100 cars will be given out for outstanding philanthropic groups like the Chicago Zoological Society which was the winner of a Toyota Sienna minivan in 2011. Stuart Strahl, Ph.D., president, and also Chief Executive Officer for the Chicago Zoological Society had this to say:

"We are very appreciative of this tremendous donation from Toyota. The new van has been invaluable in our efforts to bring our conservation and informal science education programs to under-resourced communities throughout Chicago and the suburbs. Our dedicated staff travels year round to these communities, inspiring families to gain an appreciation of nature and wildlife, not only globally, but also in their own backyards. We have also used the minivan to transport young students to the zoo and field locations as part of the Society's award-winning Youth Volunteer Corps."

Each day when the winner is chosen to receive their choice of Toyota vehicle, four runner ups will be granted $1,000 as a reward from Toyota. Germain Toyota of Columbus encourages everyone to get out and vote for their favorite Ohio (or any other) non-profit. This is a great example of some of the ways that Toyota gives back to the community. For more information about Germain Toyota of Columbus please view www.germain.net.
