Traditional Ale Gets Modern
Online, August 31, 2010 (Newswire.com) - West Lancashire CAMRA connects with the internet
The West Lancashire branch of CAMRA, the Campaign For Real Ale, has taken a step into the technological age this week by opening pages on Blogspot & Facebook. It is believed that they are also working on a state of the art website for their members.
"Lancashire has always played a pivotal role in the development of traditional ales, beers & stouts, never more so than during & following the industrial revolution, as the area exploded with growth & industry.
"As such in this new internet-led industrial revolution we really felt that we needed to step up our media presence by launching a 'On the Campaign Trail', our blog & to get involved in with social media, i.e. Facebook so our members can get talking.
"And on top of that we have continuation & improvement of Ale Cry Magazine, established in 1978 & now with a new development team. A lot of positive changes will be seen there in the coming issues."
Said spokesman & West Lancs CAMRA Webmaster Dave Suckling, the man behind the push for this progression & who has acquired the services of the design studio Media Weavers to aid him in this venture.
