Valencia, CA - The Health Rhythms Division of Remo, Inc. announces that neurologist and leading mind body wellness researcher, Barry Bittman, MD will join internationally acclaimed author and keynote speaker Christine Stevens, MSW, MA, MT-BC at the Ann Arbor Marriot Ypsilanti, March 18-20th to teach the HealthRHYTHMS® Group Empowerment Drumming Facilitation Training. The HealthRHYTHMS Adolescent Protocol for at-risk youth will also be taught.

Remo, Inc. founded by Remo Belli, featured in the March issue of INC. Magazine, has been leading the music products industry for more than a decade in a process of re-defining itself from a traditional musical instrument manufacturing mindset into an integrated, music and medicine mindset. This evolutionary transformation is being driven by the desire to deliver greater customer value, quality, innovation, and to allow a greater percentage of the world's population to experience the life enhancing benefits of music making. The development of the HealthRHYTHMS programs is a giant link in that evolution. Further evidence of this transformation is the appointment of Angelo R. Belli, MD as Vice President of Scientific Affairs and Medical Development.

According to Health Rhythms Division Manager, Alyssa Janney, MBA "At Remo, Inc. we're using our core competencies to help make the world a better place." This requires the efficacious design, management, and delivery of programming which integrates leading edge scientific research with innovative curriculum and eco-friendly musical instrument design. Remo, Inc. has been awarded the California Waste Reduction Award every year since 1998.

"I am personally convinced that one person can be a change catalyst, a "transformer" in any situation, any organization. Such an individual is yeast that can leaven an entire loaf. It requires vision, initiative, patience, respect, persistence, courage, and faith to be a transforming leader." Stephen R. Covey

Tom Price, a local Team Performance Consultant from Clarkston, MI is a HealthRHYTHMS Endorsed Facilitator. World-wide there are nearly 2,000 HealthRHYTHMS trained facilitators in 23 countries using the drum as a tool for communication; helping people move beyond their perceived boundaries; and celebrating the pulse that unites us in body, mind and spirit. According to 7 scientific, peer reviewed, published studies, some of the benefits participants may receive from the HealthRHYTHMS protocols include: stress reduction, increase in natural killer cell activity (white blood cells that seek out and destroy cancer and virally infected cells), improved mood states, increased creativity and bonding, and decreased instrumental anger in at-risk adolescents. Remo hopes that bringing this program to Detroit will help empower facilitators to improve the health and well-being of the citizens of Michigan and the surrounding areas. The company welcomes anyone with vision, initiative, patience, respect, persistence, and courage, and the desire to make the world a better place to attend the training.
