Transmedia SfFAnnounces Media Technology Education And Practice For Creatives And Producers: Start Or Expand Your Transmedia Proficiency

Transmedia SF announced that it is launching a series of workshops that will cover a range of topics, from tools and techniques, to best practices and experiential planning. The classes are lead by working media technology and creative professionals.

Transmedia SF, a growing community of creative and tech producers, announced today that it is launching a series of hands-on transmedia workshops that will cover a range of topics, from tools and techniques, to best practices and experiential planning. The Transmedia SF Workshops will all be run by working media technology and creative professionals who will bring their expertise and experience to these practical and pragmatic courses.

"Today's multi-screen world demands new skills, talents and techniques, " said Beth Rogozinski, co-founder of Transmedia SF. "We had a demand from our community for these types of hands-on experiences where people could actually roll up their sleeves and make transmedia projects and plans. And delivering these much needed seminars helps us achieve our goal of advancing the transmedia revolution."

Transmedia SF first offered a Transmedia Producers workshop in association with and preparation for a Start-Up Weekend Transmedia that was held in Feb of 2013. The class quickly sold out and prompted the development of more such offerings.

"These workshops expand on what we've offered in the past with our panels and presentations and even our Transmedia Jams, hackathons and Start-Up Weekends." said Maya Zuckerman, also a co-founder of Transmedia SF. "These practical seminars are designed for working professionals or those wanting to get into transmedia careers by expanding their media technology and multi-screen proficiencies."

Workshop prices will vary - with some even being free including a new workshop on the app making tool CoverPage. "We're pleased to be able to work with Transmedia SF to present the CoverPage workshop. Our publishing platform facilitates the creation of interactive stories and is perfect for the creative professionals of the Transmedia SF community," said Robert Mindzak, CEO and Co-Founder of CoverPageapp.com. "Working with our tools is so easy and intuitive that we're certain that after a single three hour workshop, people will have a prototype of their app ready to publish."

"The Transmedia SF Project workshop was a great experience," said Sheridan, Tatsuno, former workshop participant and Executive VP, Global Strategy, TruNorth Global. "I've been working in the media business and have experience in multi-screen, but having a hands-on experience with such an accomplished workshop leader has seriously added to my understanding and ability to bring this to my clients. Susan Bell is a walking encyclopedia for transmedia."

Transmedia careers are now available across industries including games, broadcast, film and entertainment; ads, brands and marketing communications; and technology platforms and programs. Workshop attendees are guaranteed a quality educational experience that helps advance their practical knowledge and their ability to create their own transmedia products or projects regardless of their vertical career focus.

Among the first classes announced are the workshop series Transmedia Discovery Workshops For Brands and Communications including the following segments:
o Transmedia Storytelling for Brands: Developing Your Core Story
o Building Storyworlds and Aligned Content for Enhanced Brand Engagement
o Bringing Your Story to Life Across Multiple Platforms and Experiences
