Transmissions No Longer A Weak Link For Sport Compact Racers
Online, December 10, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Increased horsepower in the sport compact segment of the motorsports market has come with a cost - gearboxes as "weak links"...until now, according to the experts at transmission manufacturer Saenz Hnos, SA.
Saenz has been manufacturing and selling their brand of racing transmissions from their factory in Buenos Aires, Argentina, via their exclusive distributor, Top Enterprises of Miami, Inc., since 1995.
"Manufacturers come and go," says Eduardo Saenz, Saenz's Chief Executive Officer, "but what makes us stand out is our commitment to innovation. This allows us to make a better product, to serve markets currently ignored. This, and our individualized engineering attention gives us an edge."
In recent months Saenz has developed a solution for sport compact racers facing transmissions that limit the practical horsepower they can safely generate. Engineering experts have developed a new system that will allow for custom gearsets, to match the torque curves and power characteristics of each motor, in a cost efficient manner, utilizing OEM cases for seamless fitments.
The team at Saenz believes this solution will allow for racers to once again explore producing more power and torque without the constant worry of transmission failure.
"Racers will now realize this is the most elegant solution, given all of the different and subtle variations in transmission fitments that make scaling the manufacture of gearboxes practically impossible. With our system it doesn't matter if some of the racers have a slightly different transmission that would have made it cost-prohibitive for a manufacturer to make a racing version or for a race team to order a custom-built unit. By delivering this uniquely tailored solution, the customer is never disappointed so they can prepare for racing without this particular worry."
Top Enterprises of Miami, Inc. is the sole factory distributor of these gearset solutions. They will be at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show at the Indianapolis Convention Center, Booth #1728 from December 12-14.
