TravelfromHere.com Reaches Significant Milestone

Online, December 3, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Online travel directory, travelfromHere.com, has reached the milestone of topping 10,000 entries.

The directory was originally conceived in 2005 by Paul Richer, founder of management consultancy, Genesys - The Travel Technology Consultancy. Richer stated, "When I conceived travelfromHere.com five years ago, it was to address a need for a directory of web sites targeted at UK travellers. Core to the concept was that every entry would be checked by an editor to ensure its suitability.

Many submissions from this part of the world consist of nothing more than a blatant list of keywords rather than having a lucid description of companies' products and services. Needless to say, such blatant submissions are rejected.

"A trend that we have seen is that we are getting a growing number of submissions for gay travel and overseas volunteering holidays, no doubt reflecting growth in these sectors."
