Travis Manion Foundation Back-to-School Character Days Impact More Than 5,000 Students Across the Country

DOYLESTOWN, Pa., September 15, 2023 (Newswire.com) - In the program's third year, Travis Manion Foundation's (TMF) Back-to-School Character Day events deployed more than 200 TMF-trained veteran mentors who provided a character development and outreach to more than 5,000 students in 97 communities across the country.

Through the Back to School initiative, TMF veteran mentors develop meaningful connections with students by equipping them with character, optimism, and the confidence to succeed in school. The annual program also helps fill an economic gap as participating students received a backpack full of school supplies to ensure students nationwide start the school year properly.

TMF also partnered with Amazon Global Military affairs in nine of these communities to host a free back-to-school shop, providing essentials from notebooks to healthy lunch snacks, ensuring every child is equipped with the supplies needed to be successful and ready for school.
