Trendy Off-Leash Dog Park & Bar Concept to Make Colorado Debut
Fetch Park will offer a full-service bar and turfed greenspace for humans and their dogs to "Unleash and Unwind®"
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., May 4, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Fetch Park, a wildly popular off-leash dog park and bar concept, originating out of Atlanta, is set to open their first Western location in Colorado Springs, Colorado, off InterQuest Parkway. The BARk plans to open in Winter of 2021.
Featured by the likes of Travel Channel, ESPN, CNN, and Mercedes-Benz, Fetch Park features include an off-leash greenspace made of mud-free field turf for pups to play as well as dog cooling stations, a dog bath area, shaded seating, free Wi-Fi, and multiple Ultra Bright Outdoor TVs. One of Fetch's most notable attributes is its vintage Airstream equipped with a selection of coffee, beer, wine, and spirits creating the ultimate space to "Unleash and Unwind®" year-round. Fetch also hosts tons of events ranging from live music, stand-up comedy, movie nights, trivia, and even single's nights with park partner Bumble.
"Living in Colorado Springs for most of my adult life, I have come to understand that there are three things Coloradan's love: dogs, the outdoors, and a great bar scene. My sister, LeAnne Browning, who lives and works in Atlanta, introduced me to heaven on Earth - Fetch Park. LeAnne, Stephen Ochs (the founder of Fetch Park) and I discussed a Fetch expansion to the Springs on one of my many trips to Atlanta. All it took was one visit out here and Stephen knew Fetch would be a perfect fit," said Investing Partner Fetch Park Colorado Springs, Joanna Thompson. "My husky mix Lilly loves to go to the park, soon she will be able to go to a park with turf and where employees maintain a watchful eye over the playing pups. I can feel at ease talking with friends with wine or a cocktail from the bar while the dogs exhaust themselves playing with each other or cooling themselves off in the water tubs. We are so excited to make Fetch happen in Colorado Springs and can't wait to introduce everyone to this amazing concept," said Thompson.
Fetch Park was founded by Stephen Ochs in 2018 after a five-year journey that involved numerous hurdles including hearing "no" from 86 banks due to the uniqueness of the concept. Fetch Park was born out of his desire to create a safe place to socialize with both his beloved Boxer, Oakley, and his friends. A nod to Ochs' baseball past, the design of each park resembles an old-school minor-league baseball field with murals, concessions at the airstream, fences enclosing the space and retro illuminated signage that makes for the perfect backdrop for any Instagram-worthy selfie.
Unlike most parks, Fetch Park is staffed at all times with attendants called BARk Rangers who help ensure the safety of all dogs and humans. Fetch is free for humans to enter, with a membership system in place for pups. Your canine best friend can enjoy a day pass for $10 with membership options ranging from a single month to a yearly pass. Members will be able to enjoy all Fetch locations under their membership dues. All dogs are required to have up-to-date vaccinations on file and must be spayed or neutered if 8 months of age or older to enter the property. On top of the bark rangers and vaccination requirements, guests wanting to bring their pups to the park must also sign liability waivers stating their dog is friendly and social.
