Tribute Images releases The Night Shift, an artistic tribute to the immortals of entertainment.

Tribute Images, Inc. today announced that it has released for sale a unique image paying homage to several legendary cultural icons.

Upon hearing of the death of Michael Jackson, dedicated fan, Paul Weidenbaum, conceived The Night Shift and teamed up with his friend, fellow fan and professional artist, Ron Goldfinger. Together, they created a unique artistic tribute to Michael Jackson's genius and contributions to music, dance and film.
"I learned of Michael's passing just as I was boarding the train for home," Paul said. "I was raised on Michael's music and my thoughts were of the immense sadness of losing him," he continued, "when this image came to me and gave me a reason to smile."

"The Night Shift" artfully depicts Michael Jackson strolling into a corner diner to join Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe and John Lennon, in a transformation of the famous 1942 Edward Hopper painting, "Nighthawks." The date, June 25th, is indicated by the address on the door.

"I was deeply saddened by the death of Michael Jackson, as were all his fans," artist Ron Goldfinger recounted. "But Paul's telephone call that evening gave me a reason to think that Michael and the other immortals of entertainment who left us too soon are in a better place. The transformative nature of The Night Shift captures this ideal."

When it was completed, Paul and Ron felt that the image they created was too good not to share. Along with a few friends, they decided to establish Tribute Images and to open The Night Shift online store (http://www.tributeimages.com) so their fellow fans could enjoy the image on a high-quality art poster and a variety of apparel and other collectibles.

Tribute Images focuses on the creation of original, artistic interpretations and unique transformations of popular images and icons of the entertainment world. The Night Shift is the first of the company's original works.

The Night Shift logo is a trademark owned by Tribute Images, Inc.
