Trilogic Systems Wins Combat Ship Display Program

Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Will Utilize Rugged Displays From Milcots Product Line

Trilogic Systems, a business development channel specializing in Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology announced that they have secured a major design win for its rugged display product line for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Program. The displays will be incorporated as part of General Dynamics AIS's OPEN CI standard that facilitates "any display, anywhere" capability that enables the LCS crew to operate consoles and workstations anywhere on the vessel.

The Littoral Combat Ship is the first of a new family of surface ships for the US Navy. The LCS is a fast, highly maneuverable, networked surface combat ship that is specifically designed to defeat "anti-access" threats in shallow, coastal water regions known as the littorals. Such threats include fast surface craft, quiet diesel submarines and mines.

"LCS is the future of our surface Navy," said Vice Adm. D. C. Curtis, commander, Naval Surface Forces. "This program will complement the strengths of larger warships. LCS will be a deterrent of green and brown water threats; the flexibility, versatility, and smart design of LCS make it well suited for joint operations."

" We are excited to be part of LCS," stated David W. Paul, President of Trilogic Systems. "Teaming with General Dynamics AIS is a perfect fit for us. Our focus on, and experience with COTS technology dovetails with General Dynamics AIS's Open Computing Infrastructure standard. GD AIS is a demanding customer with high standards and we look forward to a long term relationship on LCS."

The displays utilized on LCS are based on Trilogic Systems' Milcots product line and include both forty inch and twenty inch models. The Milcots product line is targeted at shipboard, airborne and in-vehicle military programs. Ruggedized for demanding applications, product categories include LCD Displays, Panel PCs, Rugged Tablets and Compact Computers. LCS is one of dozens of military programs that have chosen the Milcots product line for use in their application.
