TTi Global Boards the 17th Annual United States Coast Guard "Ice Breaker Cruise"
Rochester Hills, Michigan, March 23, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Employers from across Michigan participated in cruises held over a two day period. Guests of the cruises were given a briefing of activities prior to be taken into the Straits shipping channel. Each cruise cumulated with the crossing of the Straits of Mackinac aboard the USCGC "Hollyhock".
Built in 2013 to replace the WWII-era USCGC BRAMBLE, the USCGC HOLLYHOCK's primary missions are: aids-to-navigation (maintenance, removal and replacement), search and rescue, environmental protection and ice-breaking.
"The Ice Breaker Cruise is a unique opportunity. It provides employers the opportunity to see Armed Forces and Coast Guard members in action."
