Tubes Closes 2012 Celebrating Trame

Online, December 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Its success reached the US, where Trame won the Best of Year 2012 Award for the category "Bath: Accessories and Hardware", the prize organized every year by the prestigious American magazine Interior Design. The editor in chief of Interior Design opened the gala venue held on the 29th November at the new location in 200 West Street NY, an art auditorium designed by SHoP Architects. As every year, the event was attended by many personalities from the design community to celebrate the best products of 2012. The industrial designer Stefano Giovannoni has turned a traditional steel radiant surface into a "fabric of heat", where the classic tubular elements become coloured threads with different diameters (14 mm, 20 mm and 28 mm) according to the personal taste and the desired optic effect.

As far as materials are concerned, the radiator is manufactured in low carbon content steel, perfect for creating the curved shapes which make it stand out.

In accordance with the standard EN 442, Trame has been trialled at the Polytechnic of Milan laboratories which have verified the heat output and its compliance in terms of quality with the highest European standards.

Giovannoni's design fits seamlessly into the ideal line which makes up the Elements collection, the expression of the research and experimental work with which Tubes has explored this new concept of radiator. Trame has been devised not just as a heating system component, but as an essential part of the architectural structure and design for interiors, imbued with a strong personality and always able to guarantee the very best functional performance.

Trame is available both with vertical and horizontal tubular elements up to 279 possible combinations, giving the greatest design freedom and ease when positioning it in different rooms.
