'We are very excited to be returning to National Television, as Hip Hop has continues to expand from the urban streets to general 'pop' market commercialization. It has re-emerged as a major youth 'marketing and economic' driving force spending and influencing over $350 Billion+ in sales across all product merchandise and service categories. This event will help re-establish the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Brand in the marketplace for decades to come, stated the Brooklyn Born, Hollis, Harlem and Los Angeles raised show Creator and Executive Producer J.T. Thompson, who recently graduated from the UConn EBV Veterans Entrepreneur Program.

The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards show brand was created in 1992 to be the financial mechanism to build the Museum. This will be the first broadcast of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards since it aired in National Syndication and on the BET Cable Network in the 1990's. That show featured the inductions of Run DMC with Jam Master Jay an original Board Member, the God-father of Hip Hop Kool Herc, the Zulu Nation, Kool DJ Red Alert, and Grandmaster Flash to name a few.
