Two Contemporary Home And Interior Designs Featured Internationally

Located at Ramamurthynagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India was built as a single family home. Within a limited site size, Ashwin Architects generated a split-level plan that unified the building with visual connectivity as well as provided extra space. Here functionality was given an equal importance along with the form. It's a contemporary design that involves a lot of steel elements, where some are structural and some are aesthetic. And certain external cladding materials were imported from Thailand due to their extreme weather-proof nature.

Sharan House -

Located at Raja Farms, Bangalore, Karnataka, India, the design brief was to maintain the industrial nature of the building, complete with trusswork and sheet roofing, with construction to be kept to a minimum. They salvaged most of the elements, such as the wood pergolas from packing crates, the steel supports from scrapyards and the bathroom tiles that were "rejects" as they were not of uniform color and size. Thus was converted an unused chicken shed into a bachelor residence.
