Two More Milestones For Animal Rights Zone (ARZone)
Animal Rights Zone (ARZone), the international abolitionist animal rights social network, celebrates its first anniversary on 21st December 2010.
Online, December 20, 2010 (Newswire.com) - ARZone has also just topped 1500 active members who take part in weekly global "chats," write forum and blog entries, and post videos in order to highlight and discuss the pressing issues of the day in the animal advocacy movement.
ARZone founding director Carolyn Bailey says, "I am very pleased to report that ARZone is going from strength to strength. I feel certain that our second year will be even more spectacular than the first. ARZone is now "notable" enough to have its own Wikipedia entry, we have a recently established "Q&A" site on which we offer bite-sized extracts from our popular weekly "guest chat" slots, and we already have prominent members of the global animal advocacy movement lined up for well into April 2011."
By providing an interactive space for its grassroots participants and supporters, ARZone fosters a sense of community among its members. Through live online events, ARZone supports rational discourse and intelligent dialogue within a dynamic social movement context.
Recent online guests have included such distinguished members of the animal advocacy movement as Earthlings director, Shaun Monson; Professor Robert Garner; Robin Lane of the London Vegan Festival; animal farmer turned vegan advocate, Harold Brown; Sea Shepherd Conservation Society founder, Paul Watson; and the host of Go Vegan Radio, Bob Linden. Upcoming scheduled guests and contributors include Professor Richard Ryder, Ric O'Barry, Matt Ball of Vegan Outreach, PeTA's Bruce Friedrich, Dr. Will Tuttle, and Colin Blakemore.
