Tyrannosaurus Kills Human on Phone

Tyrannosaurus Introduces new MobiTrax product, which enables automated Mobile Direct Response campaigns. Using MobiTrax, mobile ad campaigns can be run for the first time as CPA campaigns with results tracked automatically. No human involvement.

SPRING VALLEY LAKE, CA - November 30, 2009 - Humans are the worst Direct Response marketers, so Tyrannosaurus Inc. this week eliminated them for all Mobile Direct Response campaigns. "Humans are pests, when it comes to effective CPA reporting," said Tyrannosaurus CEO Dev Bhatia. "They can't be trusted, they are not timely, and the data they provide is not transparent. So today, we decided to just do away with humans altogether in our Mobile Direct Response campaigns."

The development is significant, because Tyrannosaurus Inc. is among the largest Mobile Direct Response media buyers in North America. The company powers campaigns for brands including ADT®, DirecTV, Dish®, GE® Home Security, HughesNet, Kaplan, ServiceMagic®, and more, and works with major Mobile advertising networks and publishers.

In Mobile Direct Response, cell phone users see banner ads on Mobile Web sites, such as ESPN Mobile. Users who are interested can click on the ads to generate a call to the advertiser. Because these interactions move to the voice network, they can't be tracked with sophisticated analytics like their online counterparts. Publishers, Advertising Networks, and Direct Marketers are not able to track results using automated tools, and must rely on humans for sales reports instead.

Now, with MobiTrax, Tyrannosaurus is changing that. MobiTrax uses sophisticated analysis to identify CPA events digitally across thousands of inbound calls. Instead of relying on human reporting to identify CPA events, marketers can rely on MobiTrax instead. The result is an industry first: CPA event reporting for Mobile Advertising campaigns which is timely, transparent, and trusted.

"MobiTrax enables CPA campaigns to scale quickly and seamlessly on Mobile." said Bhatia. "By eliminating the human reporting problem, we're enabling Mobile Advertising to work for Direct Response marketing."

Mobile Advertising spending is expected to exceed $13 billion by 2013, according to a new study released by Stamford, Conn.-based Gartner Research. "The growth in mobile advertising revenues is primarily driven by mobile Web banner ads, but it also has a strong growth component from mobile search, downloadable applications and SMS advertising," according to Gartner analyst Andrew Frank.

MobiTrax requires zero setup at the call center, an added plus for Direct Marketers. "Call centers are not going to make big technology investments these days," said Tyrannosaurus' VP Technology, Sandeep Vardhan. "So we built MobiTrax to simply work without any cost or effort." MobiTrax is available as a web-enabled service for click-to-call mobile campaigns. To learn more, contact us at [email protected].
