UBELONG Volunteers at the Inter-American Development Bank
Online, October 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - UBELONG will be holding a social event at the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in Washington, DC with members of Young Connection (YC), the young professionals group at the IADB. Young professionals from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Organization of American States will also be in attendance.
The event will be on October 27 and feature an introduction to UBELONG and our mission to support communities by providing the world's most affordable, flexible and meaningful short-term volunteering opportunities. Additionally, UBELONG alumni and individuals who have already signed-up for a UBELONG program are invited to join. They will have the opportunity to speak about their UBELONG experience, as well as network with young professionals from some of the world's most prestigious international development organizations. As UBELONG co-founder Cedric Hodgeman notes, "When you join a UBELONG program your UBELONG experience continues even after you return home. We work very hard to foster a sense of community, and this event that we're holding with the IADB is a prime example of how being a part of the UBELONG network opens up opportunities to meet amazing new people." As a tasty bonus, sangria and Spanish tapas will be served during the event.
UBELONG alumni and individuals who have already signed up for a UBELONG program are invited to join. To confirm your place, please RSVP as soon as possible by emailing us at [email protected].
