Ubiquity University and IPMA-HR-USA Partner to Offer UbiCert Global Standard Credentials
MILL VALLEY, Calif., January 3, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Ubiquity University is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with The International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR). This partnership will leverage IPMA-HR’s networks and long-standing reputation in professional development to extend Ubiquity’s pioneering UbiCerts® Global Standard Credentials to institutional partners.
IPMA-HR is the leading public sector human resource organization in the world. Since 1906, IPMA-HR has been a resource for comprehensive and timely HR news, job, policies, resources, education and professional development opportunities.
Ubiquity University is a globally accredited University designed for social impact. Ubiquity’s programs have been developed to build specific competencies that will ready individuals for the needs and challenges of today’s hypercomplex job market.
As a result of this partnership, IPMA-HR officially endorses and recognizes Ubiquity’s Global Standard Credentials (UbiCerts®).
A UbiCert® is a ubiquitous certification of competence. It can be a credential at any level, from a badge to a certificate to a diploma to a degree. Any competencies that are credentialed are linked to a database of tens of thousands of competencies developed by industry sectors, as well as to professions and related diplomas, and used by governments across the world. UbiCerts® are benchmarked to the Australian national qualification framework which has official correlates to the European Qualification Framework and the ASEAN qualifications framework, including over 54,000 competencies across 334 industry sectors. To demonstrate a credential specific evidence and knowledge testing is required to be recognized by industry sectors and governments. This is what makes a UbiCert® a Global Standard Credential.
Individuals who earn credentials or qualifications from Ubiquity or IPMA-HR courses will now benefit from the collective weight of both institutions and will be able to highlight these qualifications to prospective employers or business partners. Individuals that take IPMA-HR courses and trainings will also be able to gain Ubiquity credits which can then be applied to higher degrees within the Ubiquity ecosystem.
Jim Garrison, CEO of Ubiquity, said, “We are honored to work with IPMA-HR on this breakthrough technology for competency-based learning and assessment. All over the world, competency portfolios are on the rise and IPMA-HR and Ubiquity are in the lead.”
Neil Reichenberg, IPMA-HR Executive Director stated that “We are pleased to partner with Ubiquity University, a global leader in competency learning, which will enhance our competency-based professional development programs and certifications.”
