UK Christian singer set for stardom

Online, March 24, 2010 (Newswire.com) - A UK Christian artist is set on the road to stardom after success in a nationwide competition led to her signing with a major management collective. Tanya Cristina, 27 from London has recently signed a deal with Monkey Mountain Management, run by experienced music moguls Andy Case and Debbie Lucas, who have a history of taking raw talent and getting them major deals.

Tanya came to prominence after finishing second in the nationwide Open Mic competition out of 8000 entrants. It was as a result of a press article about this success that Tanya received a call from the management company.

As Tanya recalls, " I was really surprised to receive contact from Monkey Mountain and was wary at first, but after meeting up and talking with them about their ideas, I didn't hesitate. It's so exciting! "

Since the first meeting in the Royal Opera House, things have moved forward quickly. Tanya recently recorded her own composition 'Perfectly' with Warner Chappell producer Jorden Milnes, who has recorded for Sugababes, Jamelia and Geri Halliwell. The single is available to download this summer.

In the month since signing with Monkey Mountain, Tanyas career has gone from strength to strength. She has been highlighted as an artist to watch by the UK Christian music association, received her FM radio debut on Kemet FM and recently gatecrashed the top 20 MySpace Christian artists chart. In addition to this, she is set to perform at the New Wine Festival and is also getting interest from major producers who want to remix her track.

There's been a long wait for a breakthrough UK Christian artist to emerge, but it looks like Tanya is set to be a superstar.
