Rampiva to release case study based on government agency investigating war crimes using Rampiva Automate to accelerate data processing throughput.
New York, N.Y. and Phoenix, Ariz., September 29, 2022 (Newswire.com) - The United Nations Security Council released a "What's in Blue" announcement on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, updating members of the public on the upcoming report from the head of the UN Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da'esh/ISIL (UNITAD).
The announcement describes UNITAD's use of technology to support its investigation of digital evidence collected from perpetrators, victims, and witnesses. According to the statement, "by using Rampiva, an e-Discovery software application, UNITAD has also cleared its evidence processing backlog and significantly reduced the lead time for providing collected evidence to its team of reviewers."
"Our role is to deliver technology that empowers individuals, organizations, and governments to improve our society," says Rampiva CEO Daniel Boteanu. "I'm proud that UNITAD named us as a technology contributor to its mission."
To provide context surrounding the use of digital forensics technology to support the UNITAD investigation and the impact of adopting Rampiva Automate, Rampiva published a case study on Sept. 16, 2022. All references to the United Nations, its entities, or personnel derive from publicly available material.
This case study highlights the distinctive challenges of this project, including varied and complex data sources with unique encryption levels with over 14.5 TB. By adopting Rampiva Automate, the team cleared their processing backlog within three months, accelerated throughput by 350%, and reduce the time from collection to review from weeks to days.
The case study presents best practices and lessons learned that other organizations may find helpful when seeking to implement automation and increase eDiscovery processing capabilities.
