United Colours of Holi at Way to Transform Shridhar University Pilani Rajasthan

Whatever be the latitude or longitude from where one comes from, no one has doubt that Holi the festival of colours invariably elevates the altitude of happiness.

With the entire Shridhar University campus having a riot of colours with a whole spectrum of blooming flowers, no one had doubt that the Holi celebrations with red, purple, green, magenta and clouds of gulal reiterated the famous Robert Williams quote "Spring is nature's way of saying - Let us party."

This year Holi was celebrated on March 20, 2011 to herald the coming of spring and mark the legend of triumph of good over evil. With students not only from Rajasthan but also from various states of India which include Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand enrolled for various degree programmes at Shridhar University, Holi celebrations at the campus truly represented the unfolding of the Indian cultural mosaic.

Considering that March 20, 2011 also marked the World Sparrow Day - WSD and conscious of environmental issues, the students and faculty at Shridhar University Pilani played Holi with natural organic colours. Further keeping in mind that World Water Day - WWD falls on March 22, the celebrations kept in mind that splashing and wastage of water was to be strictly avoided.
