Universal Musician Michael Barber creates new genre of Music, Messy Music, puts out The Purple Aces Project

Universal/Hoopla Media signee, Michael Barber, has issued an new free album available online and is distribution 25,000 free of charge. The self produced album is the first of the genre of music that is now defined as, Messy Music.

Universal Recording Musician/Rapper, Michael Barber, released a free album of music in the Messy Music Genre. Barber, who said he gains influences from people like Jim Morrison, Nas, and Frank Sinatra, has created a new sound of music. The Messy Music Genre was first used in online blog articles to describe Barber with Nine Inch Nails frontman, Trent Reznor.

Messy Music is considered a new genre of music, a combination of Pop, Folk, Rock, Hip Hop, Reggae, and Country Music. Using all forms of popular music to create a new sound. Messy Music can also be more easily described as Poetry over music of any genre.

The combination of some of the forms of music have been used together, but never in a collection as big as 6 different genres. Barber, who is leading the new sound, issued his free album, the self produced, Purple Aces Project, on July 31st. The album takes the listener on a journey through all the genres in 17 songs produced by Barber.

Barber who has been in and out of studios recording, as well as rehab centers for drug issues, and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. The list of credits that Barber has worked with is way to long too list here.

Barber became famous for his internet torrents, Motion Picture Mayhem 1 and 2, and on The Purple Aces Project he even remakes the famous 1970s Doors song, People are Strange, into a modern even more tripped out version of People Are Strange.

Michael Barber, who signed with Universal Records last year, is set to release his debut on Universal Records this year and has been rumored to be in the studio working with the likes of Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Nas, and more. His debut album, Shotguns and Canned Goods, has a November 7th release date.
