Unseen: Creative Writing For The New Decade
Online, September 25, 2011 (Newswire.com) - A 2-day overnight creative writing workshop using a unique teaching method will be conducted by Michael Duque, UK -based author and Journalist, in cooperation with the Esoteric Society of the Philippines, Primoris Publishing and Des10Ny Media Arts UK. The workshop aims to awaken the creative consciousness of the participants through experiential inspired learning. The use of experiential learning in the workshop aims to help equip the participants with a fresh new perspective in their writing knowledge and skills while simultaneously assisting them to discover and maximize the potential of untapped resources.
Duque is a Filipino author who is now based in London. His works include "The Little Green Book for Nurses (Primoris, 2004)" which was a sold-out in the UK; and "Quests Beyond Existence (Primoris, 2010)" which has made it into the UK retail book market, recently. The unique workshop which combines traditional didactic presentations and the use of various exercises to enhance the teaching and learning process was developed by Duque, initially for his personal development. "I have attended various seminars and I have found most creative writing workshop not creative and uninspiring." Duque said. "I reviewed my previous experiences and its positive effects and hence have developed this unique course which will strengthen the participant's existing writing foundation or should they have little, to significantly contribute to providing them with enough confidence to thread the writing path.
The overnight workshop will be held on 3-4 February 2012 at Balai Isabel, Batangas City, Philippines.
The two-days workshop fee is Php 1,000 which includes all course materials, food and accommodation.

Michael Duque is a Filipino based in the United Kingdom. He has co-written a book on transpersonal psychology with Tony Perez in 1996. He has also written the most widely demanded "Little Green Book for Nurses (2004)" in the UK and the recently launched "Quests Beyond Existence" which is now available both in the Philippines and UK bookshops. He is also the current managing director of the International Filipino UK Newspaper which is widely circulated in the UK, Philippines and other ASEAN countries. Michael is also a well-respected community leader and the president of various professional and community organizations in the United Kingdom. He was awarded the Ambassador for Peace in Paraguay in 2007, being the only Filipino from the UK being given the recognition at that time. He was also a nominee for the 2004 Bagong Bayani Awards.
