UnVarnished Show To Interview North Carolina Congressional Candidate Sunday Morning
Online, April 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - UnVarnished Show, a conservative Blogtalk Radio program continues it's Project Educate the Electorate this coming Sunday morning, April 25 with an interview at 11:15 a.m. (Eastern) with Mr. Jerry Grimes, who is running for U. S. Congress representing North Carolina's 1st district.
Jerry will answer random questions about his political positions, opinions, and ethics in UnVarnished Show's host Rich Hilts' neutral and rapid fire manner.
Jerry Grimes is a native and lifelong resident of North Carolina; having spent his earliest years in Mt. Olive and his later youth in Goldsboro. He graduated from Goldsboro High School and Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, NC where he was a Presidential Scholar as well as the first graduate from that schools Department of Theater Arts and Film Production. Jerry also attended University of North Carolina School of the Arts and later enrolled in, and earned three graduate degrees in theology: the Masters of Divinity from the School of Theology at Virginia Union University, the Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and the Master of Theology from Union Presbyterian Seminary, where he is currently a PhD student in the Department of History and Theology.
As an ordained Baptist Minister, Jerry serves along side his father, the Rev. James Grimes, at Peter's Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Wallace, NC. Having served in Wayne County Public School System as an English Tutor, Jerry's concern is for improved access to quality education. Jerry's campaign slogan is, "We the People Are the Power".
Project Educate the Electorate is working hard to make it easier for voters to know who they are voting for. "We don't want to see a repeat of what happened in the 2006 and 2008 elections," says Rich Hilts. "We want to make sure that the voters understand the candidates they are voting for; so that they (the voters) can make informed decisions. We also want to be able to hold the candidates' feet to the fire, since we will have recorded where a candidate stands on important issues which we can later compare to their voting record. We intend to make that information public", Rich continued.
Project Educate the Electorate has really gained a following since starting at the beginning of this month. An unfortunate glitch in Blogtalk radio's programming prevented them from airing last Sunday and UnVarnished Show is grateful to the understanding of candidates Todd Lally (Kentucky, 3rd) and Corey Portier (Florida, 17th). UnVarnished Show is working with these candidates to reschedule as soon as possible.
UnVarnished Show will be aired originally at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern on blogtalk radio. The show can be downloaded from iTunes, has an RSS feed at www.drscoundrels.com and the shows are all archived at www.blogtalkradio.com/drscoundrels in case fans miss the live show
