UnVarnished Show To Interview Two Maryland Senate Candidates Sunday
Online, April 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Carmen Amedori and Dr. Eric Wargotz, both Republican candidates for the Barbara Mikulski seat in the United States Senate, are coming to BlogTalk Radio's UnVarnished Show.
Known for it's hard, in depth questioning of guests, the UnVarnished Show is embarking upon what show host Rich Hilts calls "Project Educate the Electorate".
Rich has begun on a personal mission to bring as many facts about candidates to their districts as possible before the election.
"In my opinion, what we have seen in too many elections over the past years is single issue voting or "generational" voting while not many people can explain the views of their candidates on several issues," says the up and coming BlogTalk Radio host.
"I would like to bring as much information to as many districts in a no frills manner as possible," states Hilts.
The show format will consist of 30-45 minutes of questions from the host, asked in a neutral fashion, and allowing the candidate to answer as they will, short or long.
Rich says, "The way I look at it - this is a great opportunity for the candidates to present as many viewpoints as we can get to with no commercials and no rebuttals or arguments from myself. This is their forum and the forum of the electorate to learn as much as they can. The one thing I won't allow on our show is talk about anyone else - this is specifically about the candidates themselves and what they stand for."
Carmen Amedori is a former State Delegate, a member of the Maryland Taxpayers' Association, the National Association of Legal Assistance, Citizens Against Government Waste, Citizens Against Big Charter Government, and Americans for Tax Reform.
She has received several awards over her lifetime including the School Bell Award from the Maryland State Teacher's Association and the Distinguished Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Dr. Eric Wargotz is a former Governor's Appointee to the Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
He is former President of the Queen Anne's County Medical Society (QACMS 2000 - 2004) and is Clinical Professor of Pathology at the George Washington University Medical Center.
He is a physician-businessman managing several medical businesses. He served as a Laboratory Medical Director for 17 years responsible for administering and managing a busy hospital department.
Wargotz is a member of the Queen Anne's County Waterman's Association (TFL commercial license holder, former operator),
Farm Bureau, Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce, Sons of the American Legion-Kent Island Post, and is a Life member of the National Rifle Association. For nearly three years he was the Eastern Shore trustee on the Med Chi Board of Trustees.
UnVarnished Show will be aired originally at 10 am - 12 pm eastern on BlogTalk Radio.
