Online, June 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - University of petroleum and energy studies successfully organized its 10th convocation on 1st June, 2012. The institution is known for offering graduation, post graduation , mphil and research level studies in the most hard core sectors.
Vice chancellor, university of petroleum and energy studies, shares, "We were ecstatic on our 10th convocation. It was wonderful watching our students graduating with flying colours. Since, our courses deal in different subjects relating to the hard core industries, we aim at providing the best resources to the professional arena. The convocation ceremony was witnessed in the presence of the Guests of Honor, Shri Sudhir Vasudeva, Chairman & Managing Director, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation and Hon'ble Justice P.V. Reddi, Chairman, Law Commission of India at Energy Acres in UPES Campus. The chairman & managing director, ONGC and Chairman, Law Commission of India gave away awards to students.
During the ceremony, the award of degrees were extended to the students of UPES' College of Management & Economics Studies and College of Legal Studies. At the event, a total number of 590 student graduates in different disciplines involving BBA, BA LLB, and MBAs got degrees for finishing their courses. Three "University Gold Medals" one each for the best Under Graduate and Post Graduate students of Management and Legal College were awarded to Deepshikha Dixit, Pankaj Tiwari and Sakshi Parashar respectively. Other than this, 13 medals were awarded to the most meritorious students in varied courses. The working professionals were awarded under the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) PhD degrees.
