USA's First Fireworks' Competition At Cincinnati's Coney Island Amusement Park September 22
Online, September 6, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Olympic Games may be over, but another thrilling world-class international competition is right around the corner...and the USA has never seen anything like it!
On September 22, the nation's first-ever fireworks' competition will rock the night sky over Cincinnati, Ohio's historic Coney Island Amusement Park in the inaugural "Fire Up The Night" international fireworks' challenge, presented by Dr. Pepper.
The event will pit teams from the USA, Canada and Mexico against each other in a best-of-the-best fireworks' extravaganza for international bragging rights. The aerial barrage is being produced by Cincinnati-based fireworks' legend Rozzi Famous Fireworks, headquartered in Loveland, Ohio.
Spectacular palm bursts, spiders, whizzers, screechers, brocades and splitting comets - and much more - will fire up the night over Coney Island, with a 5-judge panel and the public evaluating the presentations and selecting a winner. Each show will be judged on such things as presentation, structure and scale, colors, originality and music synchronization.
Competitors in the world-class event are: Alonzo Fireworks (Mechanicville, New York, USA), Sirius Pyrotechnics (Quebec, Canada) and Lux Pirotecnia (Mexico City, Mexico).
And, following the international competition, Rozzi Famous Fireworks will fire up the night in a thundering finale not to be missed.
Admission for the event is only $20 a carload and includes parking, Coney's classic rides, live stage entertainment, and more. Park gates open at 5 p.m.
"This will be the first-ever head-to-head fireworks' competition - national or international -- held in the USA," said Coney Island's Vic Nolting, the amusement park's president and general manager. "We anticipate a show not to be forgotten, and one of the most unique international events in Coney's long history."
