User Experience Design Firm, Lift, Revamps IFC Website To Address The Changing Needs Of Its Audience
IFC recently relaunced its website focusing on being more content driven for the network's visitors. Undertaking the project was the boutique user experience firm, Lift, a Walmedia, LLC Company.
Online, February 22, 2012 (Newswire.com) - "A big piece of the redesign was to create and launch an updated version of the IFC blog, now called IFC Fix, where content could be posted to, and build it in such a way that content editors can easily tie this in across the entire site. We also created the site to be completely responsive to whatever device users are viewing the site on," stated Brad Miller of Lift. "The site runs on all modern devices and browsers, iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and more," added Miller.
"Lift was able to translate our strategy and needs into an effective website redesign that allows us to easily integrate editorial content and video assets and provide our users with a seamless experience," said Craig Parks, IFC's vice president of digital media. "The result is a reinvigorated site that's clean, functional and easy to navigate. They were the perfect partner for this project."
Over the short 3 month time frame, the team at Lift was able to complete the project from start to finish. Detailed wireframing and spec'ing out of the end user's experience will enable access to content with the least amount of clicks and ensure that every aspect of the screen makes sense. The architecture of the site allows users to quickly access the content they are looking for.
Lift was also able to achieve a clean, user friendly and consistent backend for IFC content editors by integrating it with the Wordpress platform. It enables the content editors to manage original content or change the layout of the site with a single drop down.
Lift's extensive portfolio and expertise as a user experience firm allowed them to complete the project's discovery, redesign and implementation efficiently in 3 months.
"Lift was a big part of the project from discovery to deployment. Our team was completely dedicated on every facet of this project. We completed a pretty in-depth discovery session with IFC key stakeholders, to define the details of every requirement necessary for a successful redesign. Our team was responsible for implementing the designs into a responsive layout with HTML5 and CSS 3," continued Miller.
The new site allows the audience to access it with their mobile device and stay current with the new technology. IFC.com showcases how Lift can help clients extend their brands with clean, beautifully designed website and application solutions.
"We're fun, creative, goofy, smart, and above all else, we love what we do and it shows in our work," explains Miller about the firm. "The team we worked with at IFC was so awesome. We couldn't have done it without their help and being there to cheer us on."
