Utah Therapeutic Health Center's Winter Goods Drive Helps Unsheltered Stay Warm This Winter
SALT LAKE CITY, December 6, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Utah Therapeutic Health Center is hosting a two-month-long Winter Goods Drive to benefit those who are entering the 2021-2022 winter season without shelter.
All of UTTHC's clinics along the Wasatch Front, from Ogden to Provo, are accepting the following items: tarps, tents, sleeping bags, heating supplies, first aid supplies, coats, shoes, boots, and blankets.
"Winter is a beautiful season here in Utah, but the harsh cold that comes with it can be dangerous. We want everyone in our community to feel safe, loved, and supported year-round, and this Winter Goods Drive is one of the best ways to help when it's cold outside," said UTTHC founder Tim Pickett.
Anyone who donates one or more of the requested items will be offered a $25 clinic visit discount, good toward a new patient evaluation or renewal.
Donations will be distributed to members of the unsheltered community in partnership with the Salt Lake Open Air Shelter Coalition.
