Utah's Largest Paranormal Conference Comes to Ogden

Online, September 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - OGDEN, UT - Hosts of the popular paranormal talk radio shows "Ghostology" and "The Other Side" have joined forces to present BY/OG - Bring Your Own Ghost on October 1st and 2nd at Ogden's reportedly haunted Ben Lomond Hotel. The conference will not only be the largest of its kind ever held in Utah, it will also be the first live event to celebrate the launch of FATE Radio, an offshoot of FATE Magazine, the world's longest-running paranormal publication.

The ghostly gathering will welcome visitors from across the country to meet paranormal celebrities including psychic Tiffany Johnson from A&E's "Psychic Kids", medium Christopher Moon from A&E's "Paranormal State", author and paranormal researcher Beth Brown from A&E's forthcoming "Celebrity Paranormal", talk radio host Jamie Standifird of "Paravision", and many more. Lectures offered by attending celebrities and paranormal investigation groups include topics like spirit communication, poltergeist phenomena, and surviving a violent haunting. Visitors will find the itinerary of events more like that of a party than a conference thanks to live musical performances by Utah bands Supplicant and Monarch and a side trip to nearby Haunted Hollow: Trail of Terror.

BY/OG - Bring Your Own Ghost began in Texas in 2008 and has attracted a devoted following. "BY/OG is really just like a family get-together, only on a larger scale. These are intelligent and enlightening people who love to share what they know. I think of it as education with a twist," says Brian Byers, creator of BY/OG and host of the radio program "Ghostology". Brian and his wife and co-host Anna Marie Byers recently relocated to the Ogden area to work with Denver Robbins and Lauren T. Hart of the radio program "The Other Side" at their local film production center, Dark Sun Studios. The team is responsible for the creation of FATE Radio and the selection of top quality programs now available through the network. Though currently internet-based, FATE Radio is exploring opportunities for growth in the terrestrial radio market.

The fun of BY/OG 2010 begins Friday, October 1st at 5:00 PM. Admission is $10 per person, but the first fifty people at the door will receive a refund of their ticket cost plus free lunch and dinner thanks to a generous contribution from the band Supplicant.
