Vail Oktoberfest Returns For Two Full Weekends of Bavarian Fun Sept. 6-8 and Sept. 13 -15, 2013

Oktoberfest will feature crowd favorites like Adult Keg Bowling, Bratwurst Eating Contests, authentic Bavarian food and music and more

What: Munich comes to the Vail for two full weekends of blown-out Bavarian fun emulating the world's greatest celebration of beer, music and autumn: Oktoberfest. Vail Oktoberfest is a family affair, with events and activities for both adults and kids alike. The event is free and open to the public. This year, guests will see the return of many crowd favorites like Bratwurst Eating Contests and Keg Bowling. Guests will also be delighted with Bavarian music and dancing, yodeling, alpenhorn blowing, authentic Bavarian food and beverages including delicious bratwursts and pretzels, beverages from Hacker-Pschorr and Jägermeister and much more.

Oktoberfest kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 in Lionshead and will be closely followed by the Ceremonial Hacker-Pschorr Keg Tapping, officially marking the start of Oktoberfest in Vail.

Kids and families alike are also welcome to participate in the Oktoberfest Fun Run, benefitting the Children's Garden of Learning on Sunday, Sept. 15. The event features a 5K and Kids' 1K. More information on registering for the Oktoberfest Fun Run can be found on www.vailoktoberfest.com.
