As a show of support to further our commitment to Ventura: California's New Art City, Sylvia White Gallery is proud to continue the tradition we started last year, with our second annual Valentine's Day, Be A Saint, ArtAdvance. This unusual event will include a juried art auction. Each artist selected by the jurors, will be entered into the ArtAdvance Lottery. One lucky artist will be the grand prize winner, picked at random to receive $1000 cash. The number of $500 winners will be determined at the event, depending on money raised. INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS:

Only Ventura County artists are eligible and winning funds must be spent in the city of Ventura. Artists who live outside Ventura County are eligible to enter and/or donate work, but they will not be entered in the ArtAdvance raffle. Artists may submit up to 3 jpegs for consideration. There is no application fee. We will only accept digital applications. Images may be submitted to [email protected] from December 15-January15 only. Pieces accepted into the show will be included in a silent auction at the Gala. Accepted work will be available for preview, during regular gallery hours, Wednesday- Saturday, February 9-12. Bidding will close promptly at 8pm, Sunday,February 13, ArtAdvance winners will be drawn at 8:30. Minimum bids will start at 25% retail value; artists will receive 50% of the final sales price, as well as being entered in the ArtAdvance Lottery. Every artist who enters will be given one free ticket to the event. Additionally, artists included in the exhibition, may purchase one additional ticket for $25.

Tickets to the event are $50 per person, $75 per couple and will include dinner, drinks, live music, free raffle (everyone goes home a winner!) and admission to the silent auction.

* $1000 includes 25 tickets to the gala, or can be distributed to artists who can't afford to attend. Lists your name (or business) on all of our press as a St Valentine's Day SAINT. Entitles you to pick one of the ArtAdvance winning tickets and a private studio tour with one of the winning artists.

* $500 includes 15 tickets to the gala, or can be distributed to artists who can't afford to attend. Lists your name (or business) on all of our press as a supporter. Entitles you to pick one of the winning tickets.
