VerdaCom Releases New Electronic Patient Diary Module

Verdacom announces the expansion of its VerdaCore product suite with the release of a new Patient Diary Module

Verdacom announces the release of its much anticipated VerdaCoreā„¢ Patient Diary module. Designed for all patients, VerdaCore's Patient Diary is more intuitive, thereby making it easier for the patient to provide timely data regarding their medication regimen and symptoms.

Unlike other ePRO programs, VerdaCore is real-time and more dynamic allowing sites to monitor user activity making sure patients are recording data in a timely manner. This makes for more reliable data, particularly useful in large-scale Phase IV trials.

Verdacom founder Daniel Scanlon notes, "Patients in clinical trials historically have low diary compliance results due to conventional data entry methods. We saw an opportunity to merge our experience in patient response with our expertise in technology to build a seamless, integrated platform that delivers a new level of compliance and accuracy."

COO Craig Mooney states, "An ePro module was always in our plans to include within the VerdaCore suite. It was moved to the top of our development stack after we were approached by a client who was in a real difficult situation. With their trial start in jeopardy, we were able to partner-in an agile development practice to keep them on schedule. We also have more modules on the way."

Mooney goes on to say, "We set out to fill a void in today's IMRS (Inventory Management and Randomization Services) market. By combining old-school principles with new-school technologies, our new patient diary module will be a welcome addition to new clinical trial studies. We will soon be partnering with several hi-profile pharmaceutical & biotech firms, which we plan to announce shortly."

Industry veterans Daniel Scanlon and Craig Mooney are the innovators behind VerdaCore's suite of services. Mr. Scanlon is no stranger to the IMRS market. Since 1984 he has developed innovative IVRS and related technologies. In 1992 he founded Interactive Clinical Technologies, Inc. (ICTI) which implemented innovative applications for the rapid completion of clinical trials providing quality systems and service to the industry. Dan's reputation for being on the leading edge of technology has saved the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry millions of dollars on wasted clinical supplies.

Mr. Mooney also brings years of client-side experience having served the top accounts for companies such as, Corning Besselaar, Covance, ICTI & Fisher Clinical Services. His special blend of a positive attitude and technical expertise make him the perfect complement for clients with difficult challenges.
