Version 6.0 of WorksforWeb Classifieds Software Has Been Released

WorksForWeb released 6.0 version of all classified software products with new modular structure, ability to import feeds, and other comfortable features that will help our customers to use their websites and develop business.

WorksforWeb has recently completed a long-running project that has been worked on for months-on-end by WorksforWeb development. The result of this project was a new major release (version 6.0, to be exact) of iLister, iRealty, and iLister. The v.6.0 classifieds software offers a state-of-the-art modular architecture, streamlined code, a multitude of enhancements, and several very helpful features.

The modular architecture mentioned above is of particular note. This latest version of the project offers code that has been completely rewritten and optimized for PHP5.3 usage. The WorksforWeb developers have implemented the concept sought by professional third-party developers, whereby every important function is designed as a standalone module working together with the system core. Such modules may be modified without compromising the core software functionality, which ultimately makes the new architecture infinitely adaptable, versatile, and accommodating, with new end-points to be added in every release.

The groundbreaking structure of the software makes it possible to disable any unnecessary or unwanted features in a relative snap through the Admin Panel. In contrast to the previous iterations of the software, this new setup of WorksForWeb classifieds scripts enables users to update or modify separate modules in an independent manner. As an example, user or viewer comments can easily be taken out off the program or turned back on in one click.

Apart from the modular structure, there is one big addition to the addon family of our classifieds scripts. Feed Import addon is introduced as an optional module. So far, only a banner management addon and a mobile front-end addon were the only two optional functions, while all other functions were, and still are, part of the standard package. The addon solves a dilemma for creating and using a mechanism that allows the importation of bulk listings from third party sources (feed service providers, major classified websites, etc.) in a streamlined and easy manner. It imports listings in CSV, XLS, or XML formats, with lots of settings to make the job easier and ensure compatibility with multiple sources of data.

Many future and current classified website owners would undoubtedly benefit from being able to sell the ability to set listings as Sponsored. This is one of the money-making features that we introduced in version 6. Sponsored Listings is a new type of listings that are pushed up on the top of all search results and marked as sponsored. With lots of similar listings, the Sponsored Listings option is a feature that future clients will find worthwhile and useful enough to pay to use.

The new release opens up new perspectives for clients that will receive new features and options, from now on conveniently packed into modules; for webmasters and web developers who can create third party extensions to augment the classifieds functionality. As for the Worksforweb team, they will continue to strive for perfection.

The detailed information on v.6.0 Classified Software is available for everyone in official publication about the current release on WorksForWeb website.
